Raising a child is a great responsibility. But modern parents can rely nowadays on technology to help them instil new habits into their children while they learn concepts such as time management, potty training or drinking water in a fun and easy way. That’s why the company is announcing its plan to run a Kickstarter campaign from May 9 to fund the Training Watch, a watch aimed at kids from 2 to 8 years old to help them track daily tasks and cultivate time management skills. The Training Watch has been designed to help children develop good habits and become more confident and independent in their lives.
The Training Watch is specially tailored for kids, made out of soft-touch materials on the outside and a 1.09-inch screen to enjoy cute animations that will make learning easier and more fun. The Training Watch is highly customizable to suit all kinds of needs. It offers different animations, morning/evening themes as well as selectable ringtones to spark children’s curiosity.
According to scientific research, children under the age of 8 have not yet fully developed a mature understanding of the concept of time and the roots of their time habits are formed by age 9. This is why the Training Watch has been built around three main pillars: schedule reminder, habit cultivation and time management and self-monitoring. Let’s take a closer look at each one of them.
The reminder function of the Training Watch will help your child to remember and execute daily tasks such as potty, or drinking water. The watch features easy settings for alerts, so parents can choose between vibration, music, or both. In quieter settings like preschool, the vibration mode ensures discretion, avoiding any potential embarrassment for the child.
To help children cultivate healthy habits, the Training Watch helps their parents set reminders for specific family routines, like dinner time or getting ready for preschool departure. The idea is to give them a sense of independence and autonomy to foster a sense of responsibility and self-care from a young age.
Last but not least, let’s not forget that the Training Watch is, precisely, a watch whose main purpose is to foster the children's sense of time and teach them how to use time effectively, maintaining order in their daily lives even when parents are not around.
The Kickstarter campaign for the Training Watch will start soon. If you don’t want to miss its launch, make sure to follow it on Kickstarter. As always, let us know your thoughts and ideas about this new product, your feedback is always valuable to us!
